Two Adults, Toddler Injured in Head-On Crash at US 190 and Cypress Road in Jasper County

Three Injured in Jasper County Two-Vehicle Crash at US 190 and Cypress Road

Jasper County, Texas (December 18, 2019) – Three people were injured in a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in Jasper County, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred around 4:00 p.m. December 17, at the intersection of Cypress Road and US 190.

DPS said a 2010 Dodge pickup truck was traveling eastbound on US 190 while a GMC Yukon was stopped, facing westbound, in the left turn lane on US 190.

The Dodge veered into the left turn lane and collided head-on with the GMC.

The driver of the GMC and her 2-year-old granddaughter were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers said the child was properly secured in a child seat.

The Dodge driver was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
