Boy Killed in Houston Pedestrian Crash at Tierwester Street and Dixie Drive

Houston, Texas (August 15, 2019) – A boy was struck and killed by a vehicle at an apartment complex parking lot in southeast Houston on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Houston police, the incident was reported at about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, at an apartment complex on Tierwester Street and Dixie Drive.

Police said a toddler was walking behind an adult through the parking lot when a car backed out and ran him over.

The boy died in the accident.

The involved driver reportedly left the scene but was later contacted by the police and returned to the scene.

The Houston Police Department is investigating the crash.
