Woman Killed in Fort Worth Two-Vehicle Crash at Trinity and South Main

Fort Worth, Texas (May 12, 2022) – A woman was killed Tuesday night after her car was hit by a driver who was eluding police in far northeast Fort Worth, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened shortly before midnight, May 10, at the intersection of Trinity Boulevard and South Main Street, just south of Euless.

Police said Euless officers had tried to pull over a Ford Focus with expired plates, but the driver quickly accelerated to evade the officer.

The officer didn’t chase the vehicle due to the vehicle committing only traffic offenses.

The Focus kept heading eastbound on Trinity until it crashed into another car at the intersection of South Main Street.

The Focus driver fled the scene on foot but he was arrested and taken into custody. Another man was trapped in the Focus.

The driver of the other car, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
