One Killed and One Injured in Cypress Three-Vehicle Crash on West Road 

Cypress, Texas (January 21, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was injured Tuesday morning in a fiery traffic accident near Cypress, according to officials.

The crash happened at about 8:15 a.m. on West Road near Greenhouse Road.

According to deputies, a witness said a car was speeding eastbound, weaving in and out of traffic, when it hit a red SUV, spun out of control, and hit a truck.

The car caught fire in the crash.

Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

One of the other drivers was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The other driver declined treatment at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
