Bailey Williams and Matthew Ramirez Killed, Bonnie Simmons Injured in Midland Crash at South County Road 1185 and East CR 130

Midland, Texas (September 23, 2019) – Two men were killed and one teen was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday at a Midland intersection, according to a local news release.

The crash occurred on Sunday, September 22, in the area of South County Road 1185 and East CR 130.

Texas Department of Public Safety said Bailey Williams, 21, was heading northbound on SCR 1185 when he ran a stop sign at the intersection. Williams then crashed into another vehicle driven by Matthew Ramirez, 32, of Midland, who was heading eastbound on CR 130.

Williams and Ramirez were declared dead at the scene.

Williams’ passenger, Bonnie Simmons, 18, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
