One Killed, 2 HPD Officers Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash at Ley Road and Darien Street

Houston, Texas (November 22, 2020) – A driver was killed, and two HPD officers were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in northeast Houston, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 3:35 p.m., November 21, at the intersection of Ley Road and Darien Street.

Authorities said a Cadillac was traveling southbound on Darien Street while two officers were traveling westbound on Ley Road responding to a disturbance call.

The vehicles then collided at the intersection.

The Cadillac driver was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

The two officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
