One Killed, Three Injured in Randall County Crash on FM 2219 and Dowell

Randall County, Texas (July 22, 2023) – One person was killed and three other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Randall County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash happened shortly after 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 21 at FM 2219 and Dowell.

DPS said a passenger van was traveling eastbound on FM 2219 when it attempted to turn left onto Dowell and was t-boned by a Kia SUV that was heading westbound on FM 2219.

One of the passengers in the van died in the crash.

Three occupants of the Kia sustained minor injuries.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
