8-Year-Old Killed in DWI Crash on General McMullen in San Antonio

8-Year-Old Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on General McMullen at West Commerce

San Antonio, Texas (December 24, 2022) – An 8-year-old girl was killed, and five other people were injured on Thursday in a two-vehicle crash in San Antonio, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened on December 22, at North General McMullen and West Commerce.

Police said a woman was driving a blue Dodge Journey when she hopped the curb and crashed a red Nissan Pathfinder.

The 8-year-old girl was in the back seat of the Journey and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman, an adult passenger, and another child in the blue car were taken to the hospital for treatment. The woman was intoxicated at the time of the crash and will be charged by proxy for intoxication manslaughter.

Two people in the red Nissan were also taken to the hospital for treatment.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
