One Killed in Lubbock Crash at 35th Street and Avenue X

Lubbock, Texas (July 9, 2022) – One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash at an intersection in Lubbock on Friday evening, according to the Lubbock Police Department.

The crash was reported at about 5:20 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the intersection of 35th Street and Avenue X.

Details on what led up to the accident at this time were not available, but authorities said the involved fled the scene after the crash.

First responders found the person lying down in the middle of the roadway. Sadly, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased person has not been released pending notification of the family.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
