One Killed in Austin Truck Crash on FM 973 and FM 812 near Circuit of the Americas

Austin, Texas (December 21, 2022) – One person was killed in a crash involving two trucks on Friday night in Austin, according to Austin police.

The deadly accident occurred on FM 973 and FM 812 near the Circuit of the Americas on December 16.

Police said a green pickup truck was turning left onto FM 812 when its driver failed to yield to another truck. Both trucks ultimately collided.

The driver of the green truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
