Eddie Charles Causey Killed in Hudspeth County Semi-Truck Crash on Interstate 10

Hudspeth County, Texas (September 4, 2020) – Two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Hudspeth County, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around midnight, September 3, on Interstate 10, at mile marker 67, about two miles west of Fort Handcock.

Troopers said 49-year-old James Edward Scott, of Fort Worth, was driving a tractor-trailer rig when he rear-ended another big rig, pushing it into another big rig.

Scott and his passenger, 39-year-old Eddie Charles Causey of Glenn Heights, were killed in the crash.

The other two drivers, Michael George Bennett, 51, of Florida and Juan Jesus Rodriguez, 55, of El Paso, were taken to Horizon Providence Hospital where they were treated and released.

The crash remains under investigation.
