Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Eastex Freeway in Houston

One Injured in Houston Motorcycle Accident on Eastex Freeway near McCarty 

Houston, Texas (July 22, 2020) – A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash in Houston, according to police.

The accident happened at about 10:00 p.m. on July 21, on the East Freeway near McCarty.

Police said the motorcyclist was riding with a group of other motorcyclists when he sped up and lost control. He then hit a vehicle and fell off the motorcycle. The motorcycle caught fire.

The motorcyclist was then struck by a white Chevy pickup truck, which dragged him down on the freeway.

The pickup driver fled the scene.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The crash remains under investigation.
