1 Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Slaton Highway in Lubbock

One Seriously Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Slaton Highway near CR 7200

Lubbock, Texas (October 22, 2021) – One person was seriously injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened just after 8:30 a.m., on US 84(Slaton Highway) near CR 7200.

DPS said a truck tractor semi-trailer had pulled out of the Coors plant and was traveling northwest on the highway. It was in the left lane, preparing to turn onto CR 7200, when it was rear-ended by a passenger car.

The car driver was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
