2 Injured in High-Speed Crash on US 90 in San Antonio

Two Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 90 near 36th Street

San Antonio, Texas (August 5, 2021) – Two people were injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in San Antonio’s West Side, according to the police.

The crash was reported around 8:00 p.m., August 3, in the westbound lanes of the 400 block of U.S. Highway 90, near 36th Street.

Police said a BMW was traveling at a high rate of speed behind a black Honda that was also traveling at a high rate of speed.

The Honda changed lanes to avoid hitting a Hyundai Elantra, and the BMW was unable to avoid the Elantra and rear-ended it.

The BMW driver and their 18-year-old passenger were not wearing their seatbelts. They were taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

No one in the Elantra was injured in the crash.

Police said criminal charges are likely.

The police are investigating the crash.
