John Irvin and Donald White Injured in Montague County Plane Crash near Cobb Hollow Road

Montague County, Texas (December 11, 2021) – Two people were injured Thursday evening in a plane crash in Montague County, according to the DPS.

The crash happened around 5:00 p.m., December 9, off of Cobb Hollow Road.

DPS said a small single-engine plane crashed north of Saint Jo.

The pilot, John Irving, and the passenger, Donald White, both of Denton, Texas, were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities said the cause of the crash was possible engine failure. 

The FAA is investigating the crash.
