Two Injured in Tyler Transit Bus Crash at Broadway Avenue and Front Street

Tyler, Texas (November 21, 2023) – Two people were injured Monday morning in a crash involving a transit bus in Tyler, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 8:05 a.m., November 20, at the intersection of Front Street and Broadway Avenue.

Authorities said an 18-wheeler cab without any cargo collided with a Tyler transit bus at the intersection. The 18-wheeler driver told officers he believed the vehicle malfunction causing him to run a red light, which resulted in the collision.

Both the driver of the bus and one passenger in the bus were taken to the hospital to be checked out.

No other information was available.

The crash remains under investigation.
