One Injured in 18-Vehicle Crash on I-35 in Austin

One Injured in Austin 18-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (May 31, 2021) – One person was injured in an 18-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in central Austin, according to the police.

The crash was reported around 3:00 a.m., May 30, in the 4500 block of the northbound upper deck of Interstate 35.

Police said 18 vehicles were involved in the collision.

One of the vehicles rolled over after the crash.

Thirty two people were involved in the crash, but only one was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed part of I-35, but it has since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
