Father and Daughter Killed in Morris County 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 11 near Daingerfield
Morris County, Texas (January 27, 2019) – Two people, a father, and a daughter, were killed early Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on a Morris County highway, according to the DPS.
The fatal crash happened at an unspecified time on Friday, January 25, on Highway 11, east of Daingerfield.
DPS said a 37-year-old man was driving eastbound on the highway when he rear-ended an eastbound tractor-trailer.
The impact sent the man’s car off the roadway and onto the eastbound shoulder.
The man was declared dead at the scene. His daughter was flown to LSU hospital in Shreveport where she later died.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the crash.
The DPS is investigating the crash.
