Person Critically Injured in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Interstate Highway 35

San Antonio, Texas (March 27, 2023) – A person was critically injured Saturday morning after being struck by a car and trailer in San Antonio, according to the police.

The accident happened around 2:50 a.m., March 25, in the 10300 block of IH 35 N NB Frontage Road.

Police said a pickup truck allowed a person to cross the street as the light was green, but the driver of a car towing a trailer did not see the person and swerved to avoid hitting them. The driver’s side mirror struck the person, causing them to fall to the ground, and was run over by the trailer.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical condition.

The police are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, bicycle, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
