28-Year-Old Woman Hit, Killed by Vehicle on S Beltway in Houston

28-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on South Sam Houston Parkway

Houston, Texas (July 12, 2021) – A 28-year-old woman was fatally hit by a vehicle early Monday morning in Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 4:45 a.m., in the 9000 block of the South Sam Houston Parkway westbound feeder road (the South Beltway feeder road).

Police said the woman was crossing the road when she was struck by a GMC Sierra pickup truck.

The GMC then veered into another lane and crashed into the trailer of a tractor-trailer truck.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The GMC driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

The driver of the tractor-trailer did not stop after the crash.

The crash closed all the westbound lanes of the feeder road for several hours.

The police are investigating the crash.
