29-Year-Old Man Killed in Rollover Crash on North Freeway in Houston

1 Killed and 1 Injured in Houston Three-Vehicle Crash on North Freeway (Interstate Highway 45)

Houston, Texas (June 17, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was injured early Sunday morning in a rollover crash in Houston, police said.

The deadly accident took place at about 2:30 a.m. June 14, at 900 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45).

Police said a yellow Chevrolet Corvette was traveling at a high rate of speed on the freeway when the driver lost control and struck a white Jeep Grand Cherokee and a red GMC Sierra pickup truck.

The impact caused the Corvette to roll over, ejecting the driver and the passenger.

The passenger, a 29-year-old man, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Corvette driver, a 33-year-old man, was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.

The occupants of the Jeep and the pickup truck were uninjured in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
