Three Injured in Axtell Two-Vehicle Crash at US 31 and FM 2311

Axtell, Texas (March 11, 2020) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Axtell, according to the DPS.

The crash happened at about 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 31 and FM2311 (Heritage Parkway).

DPS said the tanker truck was heading northbound on Highway 31, and a Dodge passenger was heading westbound on FM2311.

The driver of the Dodge failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign and pulled into the path of the truck, resulting in a collision.

The impact caused the truck to roll over.

Fuel was reportedly leaking from both the cargo tank and saddle fuel tanks on the truck.

Both drivers and a passenger in the Dodge were taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest in Waco for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
