Three Injured in Lufkin Two-Vehicle Crash on Ellen Trout Drive at Sayers Street

Lufkin, Texas (November 5, 2020) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Lufkin, a local news source reported.

The crash happened around 7:35 a.m., November 4, in the 2200 block of Ellen Trout Drive at Sayers Street.

Authorities said a minivan was attempting to cross Sayers Street northbound when it entered into the path of a Honda Accord that was traveling eastbound on Ellen Trout Drive, resulting in a collision.

A woman who was the backseat passenger in the minivan was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. She was airlifted to a Tyler hospital for treatment.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
