Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Clearwood Drive near Gulf Freeway

Houston, Texas (October 4, 2021) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle Saturday night in southeast Houston, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 8:00 p.m., October 2, in the 9200 block of Clearwood Drive near the Gulf Freeway.

Police said the man was walking across the street when he was struck by a white pickup truck that was traveling at a high rate of speed.

According to witnesses, the pickup truck driver didn’t have headlights turned on at the time of the accident.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The pickup truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The police are investigating the accident.
