85-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in East El Paso Pedestrian Accident at Edgemere and Sioux

El Paso, Texas – An 85-year-old El Paso man was seriously injured Tuesday night in a pedestrian accident in East El Paso, according to the police.

The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m., January 23, in the area of Edgemere and Sioux near Bassett Place.

Police said a 1994 Nissan Altima, driven by a 70-year-old El Paso woman, was traveling westbound in the 6500 block of Edgemere when it entered the intersection and struck the elderly man who crossed Edgemere and onto its path.

The man was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. His name has not been released.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
