58-Year-Old Man Killed and 38-Year-Old Woman Injured in Pearland Plane Crash at Pearland Regional Airport

Pearland, Texas (May 31, 2021) – According to officials, a husband was killed, and his wife was injured Saturday afternoon in a plane crash in Pearland.

The deadly crash happened just before 3:00 p.m., May 29, at the Pearland Regional Airport.

Officials said a PZL-104 Wilga had arrived from Alvin, Texas, and had landed at the airport when it had a malfunction, possibly with the landing gear, causing it to go off the runway into a ditch between runways, where it struck an embankment.

The 58-year-old man, who was piloting the aircraft, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 38-year-old woman, was taken to Clear Lake Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

Officials said the victims are husband and wife.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
