One Hospitalized After Longview 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 20 and Loop 281

Longview, Texas (August 29, 2020) – One person was injured in an 18-wheeler crash Friday afternoon in Longview, a local news source reported.

The crash happened at about 1:05 p.m., August 28, at Interstate 20 and Loop 281.

According to the report, an 18-wheeler crashed at the intersection, causing the cab to separate from the trailer and rear-end another 18-wheeler.

The driver of the big rig was ejected and was found in the grass near the cab. The victim, who is from Atlanta, Texas, sustained a cut above his eye and was complaining about back pain. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver who was rear-ended was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
