Two Injured in Tyler Two-Vehicle Crash near County Road 485 and Loop 323

Tyler, Texas (August 21, 2022) – Two people, including a Smith County Sheriff’s Deputy, were injured Saturday night in a crash with a suspected wrong-way driver in Tyler, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 9:00 p.m., August 20, near County Road 485 and Loop 323.

Authorities said a vehicle was heading the wrong way when it struck a Smith County Sheriff’s Deputy.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
