One Killed in Jefferson County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10

Jefferson County, Texas (November 30, 2020) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle Sunday evening at the Jefferson County/Chambers County line, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened around 5:30 p.m., November 29, on Interstate 10, near mile marker 832. 

According to the report, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, for unknown reasons, on the interstate.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10. Traffic was diverted onto Highway 73 in Chambers County.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
