40-Year-Old Man Killed in Harris County Motorcycle Crash on Beltway 8 near Tidwell

Harris County, Texas (March 21, 2021) – According to authorities, a 40-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning in east Harris County.

The fatal crash happened around 1:30 a.m., March 20, on Beltway 8, near Tidwell.

Deputies said the man was riding a motorcycle southbound on the feeder road of Beltway 8 when he was struck by a Mazda 3 that had crossed several lanes in an attempt to turn into a driveway.

The force of the impact sent the motorcycle into a curb before crashing into a utility pole.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The Mazda driver remained at the scene and was arrested for possible intoxication.

No other details regarding the crash were available.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
