58-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pleasanton 18-Wheeler Crash at IH 37 and SH 97

Pleasanton, Texas – A 58-year-old woman was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Pleasanton, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash occurred around 9:20 a.m., at the intersection of SH 97 and IH 37.

Authorities said the woman was driving a blue Honda Fit when she disregarded a red light and was struck by an 18-wheeler.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The 18-wheeler driver was taken to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed IH-37 for several hours at the 113-mile marker.

The crash remains under investigation.
