6 Hospitalized After Weatherford Boat Fire on Lake Weatherford

Weatherford, Texas (August 30, 2020) – Six people were injured Saturday afternoon after a boat caught fire on Lake Weatherford, according to authorities.

The incident was reported around 3:19 p.m., August 29, near the Lake Weatherford Marina

Details about how the boat caught fire were not immediately provided.

The boat sank at the opening of the marina after the fire.

Four people were airlifted to the hospital while two others were transported by ground ambulance.

The conditions of the victims were not disclosed.

The Texas Game Wardens are investigating the incident.
