6 Women Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on I-35 in San Antonio, Dulce Anto Cruz-Martinez Arrested

Six Women Hospitalized after San Antonio Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35, Dulce Anto Cruz-Martinez Arrested
San Antonio, Texas (February 5, 2019) – The wrong-way driver who caused a crash that left six women injured early Monday in San Antonio has been identified as Dulce Anto Cruz-Martinez, 27, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers received calls about a wrong way driver at about 1:30 a.m. February 4, who was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway between Benton City Road and Loop 1604.
Cruz-Martinez vehicle then collided with at least two other vehicles, including a Dodge sedan.
The sedan driver was trapped in the car after the collision.
Paramedics transported six women, two of them with serious injuries, to the San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment.
Cruz-Martinez was arrested and was charged with intoxication assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bail charges total to $80,000.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
