8 Injured in Crash at Mud-Track Event on Island Guadalupe Road in Fabens

Eight Injured in Fabens Crash at Mud-Track Event on Island Guadalupe Road

Fabens, Texas (June 14, 2021) – Eight people were injured Sunday evening in a crash at a mud-track event in Fabens, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened around 6:35 p.m., June 13, in the 17600 block of Island Guadalupe Road.

Deputies said one of the cars at the event broke through a guard rail. Three other cars also crashed into the guardrail.

Spectators were injured in the crash.

Three people were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Five other people sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
