Angel Contreras Killed in Round Rock Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35

Round Rock, Texas (March 31, 2021) – The pedestrian who was killed earlier this month in a hit-and-run crash in Round Rock has been identified as Angel Contreras, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:00 a.m., March 14, on Interstate 35, near the La Margarita Restaurant, north of Sam Bass Road.

Police said Contreras was walking along the interstate when he was hit by a southbound van.

The van fled the scene after the accident. It exited I-35 at RM 620/Round Rock Avenue.

Contreras was killed in the crash.

The vehicle was described as a 1996-2002 white Chevy Express van. It was loaded with boxes and luggage on top of it and probably has damage to its headlight on the front right and its passenger-side mirror.
