Woman Hurt After SUV Crashes Into Home on Kirk Place in San Antonio

Woman Hospitalized after San Antonio Crash on Kirk Place; Driver Arrested For DUI

San Antonio, Texas (July 22, 2022) – A woman was injured after an SUV crashed into a home early Friday morning in San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

The crash occurred just after 3:00 a.m. in the 800 block of Kirk Place.

Police said the SUV was heading eastbound on Kirk Place when the driver lost control of the vehicle before it crossed the road. The SUV then knocked a school zone signal and plowed into the home.

Five family members were inside the home at the time of the crash. One of them, a woman believed to be approximately 20 years old, was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. A child suffered minor bruising but was not hospitalized.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene but was later arrested. The suspect was booked into the jail on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
