Woman Arrested Following Hit-and-Run Crash That Killed Pedestrian in North Austin

Woman Arrested after Fatal North Austin Pedestrian Accident at North Lamar Boulevard and Rundberg Lane

Austin, Texas (May 27, 2022) – A woman has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead in North Austin last week on Wednesday, according to the Austin Police Department.

At about 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, authorities responded to the 9400 block of North Lamar and Rundberg Lane to investigate the report of a pedestrian having been struck by a vehicle.

The authorities arrived at the location and declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash did stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect, only identified as a woman, was later located and arrested for hit-and-run.

The name of the deceased person has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
