Man Hospitalized after Edna Pedestrian Crash on South Wells Street

Edna, Texas (May 26, 2019) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle late Friday night in Edna, according to the Edna Police Department.
The collision happened at around 11 p.m. May 24, on South Wells Street near South East Street.
Police said a man was walking on the wrong side of the road when a vehicle struck him.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Memorial Hermann hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Bay City man, remained at the scene of the crash.
The Edna Police Department is conducting an investigation into the incident.
