1 Killed in Southeast Austin Pedestrian Accident on I-35

Austin, Texas (July 27, 2019) – A person was killed early Wednesday morning in a pedestrian accident in Southeast Austin, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 1:30 a.m. July 24, in the 1100 block of South Interstate 35.

Police said a red 2001 Nissan Frontier pickup was traveling in the middle lane of the interstate when it hit a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.

The involved driver stayed at the scene after the accident.

Officers said impairment was not a factor in the accident.
