Man Killed in San Antonio Moped Crash at Lockhill Selma Road and Wurzbach Parkway

San Antonio, Texas (September 18, 2023) – A man in his 50s on a moped was fatally struck by a suspected DWI driver early Sunday morning in San Antonio, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:30 a.m., September 17, at the intersection of Lockhill Selma Road and Wurzbach Parkway.

Police said the man was trying to make a turn when he was struck by an SUV.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. He is facing possible charges as police suspect he might have been drinking. 

No other injuries were reported.

The crash closed the intersection for several hours.

The police are investigating the crash.
