Woman Killed in Austin Bicycle Accident on Cameron Road

Austin, Texas (December 17, 2019) – A woman in her 20s was killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident Monday morning in Austin, according to the police.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. December 16, on Cameron Road near Clayton Lane and Interstate Highway 35.

Police said the woman and another person were working on a bike on the side of the road in the bike lane when she was hit by a truck.

The woman was taken to Dell Seton with critical, life-threatening injuries, where she later died.

Police later located a white Dodge pickup truck, which is believed to have been involved in the crash.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to call Austin police.
