New Orleans Woman Injured in Chambers County Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 at Trinity River

Chambers County, Texas (October 16, 2021) – A woman was injured Friday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Chambers County near Wallisville, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m., October 15, on Interstate 10 at the Trinity River Bridge.

DPS said two vehicles collided on the interstate about one-half mile east of the Trinity River Bridge, blocking the westbound lanes and stalling traffic.

A westbound 2010 Kenworth truck tractor semi-trailer failed to control its speed and struck at least six other vehicles, including a 2020 Jeep SUV driven by a New Orleans woman.

The woman was airlifted to Hermann Memorial for treatment.

The conditions of the other drivers were not disclosed.

The DPS is investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
