Man Killed in Harris County Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Tomball Parkway

Harris County, Texas (July 8, 2020) – A man was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run accident in Harris County, according to authorities.

The accident occurred around 9:15 p.m., July 7, in the 28100 block of the Tomball Parkway (State Highway 249), just outside the Grand Parkway.

Authorities said the man was struck by a northbound vehicle on the highway. It’s unclear if he was trying to cross the highway or walking along the road at the time of the crash.

The vehicle fled the scene.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released. A heavily-damaged shopping cart was found nearby.

Officers said the involved vehicle is likely to have heavy front-end damage.

 The authorities are investigating the crash.
