At Least One Seriously Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-30 Bridge Over Lake Ray Hubbard in Rowlett

At Least One Airlifted After Rowlett 18-Wheeler Crash on I-30 Bridge Over Lake Ray Hubbard

Rowlett, Texas (August 17, 2020) – At least one person was airlifted after an 18-wheeler crash early Monday morning in Rowlett, according to police.

The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on the I-30 Bridge over Lake Ray Hubbard near Dalrock Road.          

Police said an 18-wheeler hit a car on the side of the road. The truck was then hit by another 18-wheeler. One of the 18-wheelers overturned. It crossed the median and hit two more vehicles.

At least one person was airlifted to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

The crash closed both the eastbound and the westbound lanes of traffic.

The crash remains under investigation.
