14-Year-Old Boy Killed in Bicycle Crash on Deer Valley Drive in Tom Green County

14-Year-Old Boy Killed in Tom Green County Bicycle Accident on Deer Valley Drive near Carlsbad

Tom Green County, Texas (September 7, 2023) – A 14-year-old boy died after being involved in a bicycle accident Sunday afternoon in Tom Green County, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident happened around 12:50 p.m., September 3, on Deer Valley Drive, about one mile south of Carlsbad.

DPS said the boy was riding his fuel-powered bicycle and exited a private driveway onto Deer Valley Drive and was rear-ended by an eastbound car.

The boy was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

No other information was available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
