Copperas Cove, Texas (February 13, 2021) – Two people, including a DPS trooper, were injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash east of Copperas Cove, according to authorities.

The crash happened on February 12, on U.S. Highway 190/Interstate 14.

Authorities said a Tahoe was traveling at an unsafe speed for the icy conditions when it rear-ended a Department of Public Safety trooper’s SUV, which was at a scene of another accident.

The trooper and the Tahoe driver were taken to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
