Scooter Rider Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Matilda Street near Lower Greenville

28-Year-Old Man Killed, 25-Year-Old Woman Injured in Lower Greenville Scooter Accident on Matilda Street

Lower Greenville, Texas (March 15, 2020) – A 28-year-old man was killed and a 25-year-old woman was injured Saturday night in a hit-and-run scooter accident near the Lower Greenville, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. March 14, in the 2600 block of Matilda Street.

According to police, witnesses said the man and the woman were riding on a scooter when they were hit by a black GMC SUV, which then fled the scene.

The man, who was riding a scooter, and the woman, who was a passenger, was taken to the hospital where the man later died. His name has not been released.

The woman is expected to survive.

The crash remains under investigation.
