Hendley Odaris Killed in Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Dallas North Tollway

Dallas, Texas (October 30, 2023) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Dallas.

The fatal crash happened around 2:58 a.m., October 29, on the Dallas North Tollway near Forest Lane.

DPS said a 2016 Hino Motors was stopped in traffic from a previous crash when it was rear-ended by a 2021 Nissan Altima.

The Altima driver, Hendley Odaris, 36, of Dallas, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the Hino Motors, Alan Ortiz, 22, of Mesquite, was uninjured in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

The posted speed limit was 65 MPH and the road condition was wet.

The crash remains under investigation.
