Anthony Hale Killed and Juan Hernandez Injured in Titus County Tractor Crash on US 271

Titus County, Texas (September 2, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured Wednesday morning in a tractor accident in Titus County, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident happened on September 1, on US 271, about four miles south of Talco.

DPS said a 2018 GMC Sierra was traveling northbound when it struck a northbound 1987 John Deere farm tractor.

The GMC driver, Anthony Hale, 38, of Pioneer, Louisiana, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The tractor driver, Juan Hernandez, 41, of Mt. Pleasant was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
