Irma DeLangel Gonzalez ID’d as Woman Killed in New Caney Crash on FM 1485

New Caney, Texas (August 12, 2019) – Authorities have identified the woman who was killed Saturday evening in a head-on collision in New Caney has been identified as Irma DeLangel Gonzalez, 64.

The deadly crash occurred just before 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10 on FM 1485.

Authorities said Barry Lee Tarver, 51, was driving a Ford F-150 on FM 1485 when he allowed his vehicle to drift into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla driven by Gonzale.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated Gonzalez who was trapped inside her vehicle. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.

Tarver was taken to Conroe Regional hospital with unknown injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
